Seafood Platter for Two

We have just returned from a two-month vacation in two beautiful countries…Australia and New Zealand. Surrounded by water, we were delighted to enjoy fresh seafood of all types. Sometimes, the fish was so fresh, a piece of fillet would fall apart before you go it to your mouth. The variety of shellfish seemed endless, a real treat for people like us coming from our land-locked province of Ontario. A beautiful fish platter was often available in restaurants near the ocean. This one was presented to us at a seafood restaurant in Newcastle which is a lovely Australian city flanked by endless miles of white, sandy ocean beaches. A friend picked us up at our hotel, toured us around the city and the Hunter Valley wine region before we enjoyed this feast.
