Ginny Craig, Elizabeth Baird and I prepare brunch.

Last June, the annual fundraiser (Frameous) for the Guild at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts included a live auction in which one item was a brunch for 12 people that Elizabeth Baird and I prepared. Mayor Doug Craig bought the item, and yesterday was the event in the Craigs’ beautiful home. Elizabeth travelled from Toronto on Saturday through quite a lot of snow to help cook our menu which follows: Mimosas, Sesame Cheddar Shortbread, Gravlax with Mustard-Dill Sauce, Homemade Rye Bread, Scrambled Eggs Strudels, Only-in-Ontario Peameal Bacon, Basil-Roasted Cherry Tomatoes, Frisee and Boston Lettuce Hearts with Shallot Dressing, Fresh Fruit Salad, Pecan-Whisky Cake, Coffee & Tea. The Gravlax recipe is from one of my titles, A Year in My Kitchen and I will post it on my recipe page for anyone who wishes to prepare it.
