A Glimpse of Queen Elizabeth

My husband’s royalist sister travelled all the way from her cottage near Owen Sound to this region so that she might catch a glimpse of Queen Elizabeth. I’m not sure we would have made the effort ourselves, but we packed up chairs, water, hats and umbrellas and left early yesterday morning to get a good spot along her route at the Kitchener-Waterloo airport. We did have a very close view of the Queen and Prince Philip as their limo went by on the way to RIM in Waterloo. I must admit that tiny glimpse was a thrill! How lovely it is to be part of a huge crowd gathered together for a happy reason. It was fun to see families, little girls in their party dresses and people of all ages there to catch their little glimpse of royalty.
