Linda’s Country Kitchen

Having just returned from a culinary tour in Southern Mexico, I was firmly ensconced back into Canadian food by teaching a class using recipes from A Taste of Canada at Linda’s Country Kitchen near Baltimore, Ontario, north of Cobourg.

Linda Stephen garnishes one of my dishes.

Linda Stephen’s cooking school is a lovely venue set out in the country with her beautiful gardens. The school is well organized with a long counter, cooktop and overhead mirror at the front so that everyone in the class can see what is cooking. The lively class of 16 (with an eager waiting list) were there to learn techniques and have a fun day in the country. It’s always a pleasure to teach at Linda’s school. Next week, I’ll write about our marvelous trip to Oaxaca, Mexico.
