Beautiful Bermuda

Front Street, Hamilton, Bermuda

We have just returned from a couple of weeks in Bermuda where the weather was abnormal for February bringing Hurricane force winds and plenty of cold rain. February has often seen us there under blue, sunny skies. However, it is still a beautiful country, and we were delighted to find a lovely new art gallery called Masterworks (in the Botanical Gardens) and seek out a new eating place called Latin, a Nuevo Latino inspired  restaurant on Victoria Street. As well, we returned to a few of our favourite haunts of old…..The Bermuda National Gallery where there were two excellent exhibitions, The Pickled Onion for drinks, Fresco’s on Chancery Lane for lunch, and Rustico in Flatt’s Village. We also met our friend, Dawn Blundell from Elora for dinner at L’Oriental on Bermudiana Road where Manuel greeted us with an exceptionally delicious appetizer.  The weather may have been unwelcoming, but Bermuda still is.
