Recipe Plagiarism

I had an excellent editor for several of the magazines for which I’ve written over the years. She often finds my recipes used in other books or magazines without any acknowledgment as to their source. This, of course, is plagiarism, but it is interesting how people ignore the fact that using the writings of another person and putting them forth as their own is not acceptable. Last week, she alerted me to a B&B website on which one of my recipes was submitted by a B&B owner. When I contacted the owners and managers of the website, they informed me that Bed and Breakfast was no longer in business and they immediately gave me credit for the recipe. Since it was apparently  very popular with guests, and was published in a book no longer in print, I have put  Roasted Cherry Tomato Clafoutis on my recipe page.
