The Construction Site Birthday Cake

What does a 4-year-old boy like to play with in the sandbox? His 6-year-old sister knows her little brother loves trucks and diggers of course. When my daughter was throwing around ideas for my grandson Mitchell’s  birthday cake this summer, his sister, Claire knew immediately what the design should be and set about drawing on paper a construction site. She wrote out the shopping list for everything they needed, and as you see in the picture, came up with some creative ideas for piles of earth and the like.
